How it works:

Every week for 4-weeks Megan hosts a 1-hour Google Hangout on the week’s topic. It will be a mix of slides, real-life examples, steps to follow and Q&A at the end – all individualized for the individual attendees and group.

Who is Megan?

962968_10151783447821285_1667752464_nGreetings! I have worked with small businesses for the past 8 years (typically in the healing modalities) advising them on how they can market themselves online both authentically and powerfully.

My passion and expertise for the online marketing world was discovered by Lynda.com (an online video library with over 4,000 courses taught by industry experts) and I was asked to be an author for them, creating courses on topics like Facebook Advertising, Online Community Management, and Email Marketing. I am also a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and have worked in a healing capacity for over 5 years – so to say I know best of the both worlds (healing practice + marketing) is an understatement!

What really spurred me to create this course was a Birth Doula training I just completed. I was totally blown away and inspired by the women (and one man!) there and really wanted to help support them in creating a Doula Business they are proud of and one that supports them financially so they can assist as many mommas and mommas-to-be as possible.

  • Starting your blog – getting it set-up and ready to go

Module 2: Writing Marketing Content – Tuesday, October 4 at 6PM PST

  • What type of content you can be creating
  • How to create exceptional content
  • What to “do “ with your content after you have it created

Module 3: Sending Email Newsletters – Tuesday, October 11 at 6PM PST

  • How to create email newsletters
  • Getting started building your email list and why you MUST have one
  • How to write compelling emails to get you more clients and are actually readable

Module 4: Managing Your Social Media – Tuesday, October 18 at 6PM PST

  • What social media sites to be on, what to share on them and best practices to save you time

Extra Details:

  • Don’t worry if you can’t make all the weeks, you will receive the recording of the session so you can watch and re-watch at your own convenience.
  • Everyone who signs up will receive a brief questionnaire so I can better individualize the information for the course.
  • Once you sign-up you will receive information on how to access the Google Hangouts (it’s super easy), your brief questionnaire on who you are, times to schedule your complimentary BodyTalk session and some pre-homework for you to do.

FAQs:

Q: I don’t have my own healing practice quite yet. Should I still sign up?

A: Yes! This course will take away any issues you have with marketing yourself (I’m calling you out, healers!) while giving you some really practial advice on what you can start doing RIGHT NOW even if you don’t have a business formed quite yet.

 

Q: I already have a website created, will I still get value out of this?

A: You betcha. You will receive some practical tips on how to improve your website since there is always room for improvement!

 

Q: I don’t have anything I sell online, why would I need to get my business online then?

A: Great question! Even if you don’t have anything you sell online, you still need to have a presence online. People are trained to “Google” EVERYTHING. People want to get information on a business through a website, Facebook page or the like. Without this you are losing potential customers. A phone number is not enough these days.

 

Q: Do I need to be live on all the calls?

A: No…but I would love you to be! This way you can ask me questions and feed off of the group’s amazing collective energy.

 

Q: I am NOT tech-savvy, is that going to be a problem?

A: Not at all. It is my express goal to make the information as easy to understand as possible. And remember, you have email support from me for the duration of the course so if you do have any issues you can email me directly.

 

Q: I have an Etsy store – will this course still work for me?

A: Absolutely! I will be sending out a survey ahead of time to get to know the participants so I can cater the content for them. I will absolutely provide tips and tricks to optimize your store.
